Q. The putter obviously, you didn't seem to have the magic today like you had yesterday against Drew.

BOBBY MASSA: I didn't drive it good today. Also the putter, I couldn't read the greens today. I was off by just a little bit. Kept underreading them a little bit, then I started overreading them, kind of back and forth. Yeah, just wasn't my day.

Q. On 11 you made a great birdie, got it to 4, and it seemed like maybe the momentum was shifting, then on 12 and 13 you had good chances and you just --

BOBBY MASSA: Yep, just couldn't get it to go. Just couldn't get it to go. It was just not my day, to say the least. Yeah, golf is hard.

Q. Did you sense that that was kind of where it was the turning point, because you bogeyed 14, 15 and 16 after that.

BOBBY MASSA: You wouldn't want to think it, but it definitely looked that way after kind of everything was going on. I just couldn't find the fairways, and if you miss the fairways out here, you're in trouble.

Q. Talk a little bit about Evan's performance. The guy just seemed to be fairways and greens, a machine. He didn't miss much.

BOBBY MASSA: No, he was very solid today. Great player. I definitely didn't put a lot of pressure on him. That maybe made it a little easier for him. I wish I would have given him a better run at it. But it is what it is.

Q. You'd have to be pretty pleased with the week.

BOBBY MASSA: Yeah, it's always fun. It sucks to lose, as you can imagine, but like I said, golf is hard. It's hard to keep it together for what feels like 10 straight days.

Q. What a month, past three or four weeks you've had, to get to the quarters of the Am, lose to the guy who won it and play very well against him, and then to get to the finals of a Mid-Am, what do you take from these two experiences that you'll build on for next year?

BOBBY MASSA: Obviously I know I can do it, which is half the battle. It's just about putting it all together and finishing the job.

Q. Do you think there's any part of your game you feel like needs to be refined just a little bit to get over the hump?

BOBBY MASSA: It's hard to tell. Golf is so day-to-day. I would say that my driving and my putting are usually the best parts of my day, and those are the things that let me down today. It's hard to really pinpoint it most of the time.

I wish we could start over, but that's not the way it goes.

Q. You're going to be a father again in January or February?

BOBBY MASSA: February, yeah, will be a father of two then. So back to reality.

Q. I'm sure you heard a lot from clients today --

BOBBY MASSA: Oh, yeah.

Q. You might pick up a few more.

BOBBY MASSA: I hope so. Yeah, back to work on Monday.

Q. Back to your normal routine?

BOBBY MASSA: Yeah.

Q. Will you play any more this year?

BOBBY MASSA: I'll play the East-West matches I think at the end of October, and that'll be it for me.

Q. East-West is a Texas thing?

BOBBY MASSA: It's not a Texas thing. It's in Texas, but it's not a Texas thing.
