THE MODERATOR: Welcome, Alexander and Thomas. What an epic Laver Cup performance. How do you feel after bringing in such a big win for Team Europe tonight?
ALEXANDER ZVEREV: Tired but very happy, especially with how Carlos' match is going right now, because it's a team competition and it's about the team winning.
THE MODERATOR: Questions.
Q. Sascha, a set and a break down, what were you thinking at that stage on how you can turn this match around?
ALEXANDER ZVEREV: Well, actually, in the second set I felt like I was playing better. I felt like I had a lot of breakpoints before I got broken. I had a lot of chances to kind of, you know, get into the match a bit better.
So I had to stay calm. I tried a few different things. I tried a few things that the guys behind me suggested.
It all worked out well, and obviously I think everybody is very happy that I managed to win somehow.
Q. You have clinched this thing three times in the past. Do you feel like you clinched it again today?
ALEXANDER ZVEREV: Carlos is out there right now.
Q. Did I call you Carlos?
ALEXANDER ZVEREV: No, no, no, I'm saying I didn't clinch it because Carlos is out there right now. No, I gave our team a fighting chance, and now it's about Carlos winning his last match.
Q. Sascha, you're now the player with most singles and doubles victory for Team Europe since the start of Laver Cup. You surpassed Roger Federer. How do you feel about this? And how important was Roger Federer presence here in Berlin for you?
ALEXANDER ZVEREV: Yeah, I mean, it's great to play in front of so many sporting legends, it's not only Roger that's here, but of course it's an honor. I had the privilege to watch him when I was growing up. I had the privilege to play against him during my career, the privilege to be his teammate. And now I have the privilege to play in front of him. It's great in all those regards, and it's special, for sure.
Q. What are your plans now for the rest of the season? Are you planning to play Beijing and Davis Cup, or...
ALEXANDER ZVEREV: I don't know.
Q. I have just been asking some of the players if they could make one change to the Laver Cup rules or format, what would you like to be seeing differently in future years?
ALEXANDER ZVEREV: What would I like to see differently...
Do you have any idea? Do you have any idea?
VICE CAPTAIN THOMAS ENQVIST: That the Team Europe always can choose all the time and get whatever they want. (Laughter.)
ALEXANDER ZVEREV: What did some of the other players say?
Q. Ben was saying he didn't like playing back-to-backs, doubles last night and straight up to singles, that sort of stuff.
ALEXANDER ZVEREV: But when do you put the doubles? You have to play it at some point, no?
Q. Daniil actually spoke about having a potential doubles specialist, like an alternate, you might be able to slot in like a Sunday or...
ALEXANDER ZVEREV: Whatever. Yeah, sure. (Laughter.)
Also, maybe I'm too tired to have any ideas right now.
