KROGER QUEEN CITY CHAMPIONSHIP PRESENTED BY P&G

September 22, 2024

Jeeno Thitikul

Maineville, Ohio, USA

TPC River’s Bend

Quick Quotes

Q. Here with Jeeno Thitikul after her final round at the Kroger Queen City Championship presented by P&G. Jeeno, runner-up this week. Just tell us about the round today.

JEENO THITIKUL: Was pretty good on kind of starting, but have kind of a rough back nine a little bit. But still finishing on a positive, birdie on like the last hole ending up the tournament, which is pretty good today I guess.

Q. Obviously you played with Lydia today and yesterday. How much fun did you have with her and were you impressed with that 9-under round she just shot today?

JEENO THITIKUL: Yeah, I mean, it's just like insane. It's super insane. Her putter was on fire today. She make it everywhere that she have a chance. Just really nice. I respect her as like my older sister, as a legend, and also as my role model as well.

So it was such a really good experience watching her in my eyes on the same tee box, on the same greens. Just like VIP seat.

Q. Yeah, she's great. Obviously you have been playing really good this year. How happy are you just with the state of your game right now?

JEENO THITIKUL: Pretty happy with all the game right now. Still have a lot to work on, especially the short game has to be worked on as well and a lot of things has to be -- you know, we don't really stop improving. Improving is the our key for all athletes. Until we retire is the day we stop.

Q. How do you take this and build on it as you look ahead to the next few events playing in Asia and ultimately the end of the season in sight?

JEENO THITIKUL: I love this time. I love this time, of the year and come to Asia and almost end of the season. I don't know, I always playing good kind of this time, since like my rookie here in Walmart. It's kind of like same month as now. Last year I started playing good in Dallas and then going to Asia.

I don't know, just like I feel like it's kind of more relaxing for us this time. Like, oh, it's already going to almost ending the season.

Q. Obviously got a lot of golf still to play. Playing as well as you played this year, how do you evaluate your 2024 season? Came close today and have been playing some really solid golf.

JEENO THITIKUL: To be honest, at first was so sensitive for me, so sensitive for not be able to play in the beginning of the year. But where I was now, just like really far from what I expect, because I just be able to get back and then playing on tour. I had doubts on myself am I going to be able to play good golf again or not really.

Injury causes a lot. What I have seen in the last couple month has been really good for me. I mean, it more than what I could ask for, you know, in the same year also get injured and in contention every week I play is really amazing for me.

Q. Heading into next week, you're playing next week, right?

JEENO THITIKUL: Uh-huh.

Q. Obviously won there before. How excited are you to go back to someplace you're very familiar with your game feeling so good?

JEENO THITIKUL: Yeah, very excited to go back to Walmart next week. Yeah, had a really good memories there, but, you know, like we can't expect anything from golf.

I just want to stay on my game, do what I doing now, and then trying to enjoy what -- no matter what the result came out, I just feel really good. Just be able to play golf is good enough for me right now.
