Q. Second Solheim Cup, two and a half points last time, three points this time. What is it about this competition that brings out the best in your game?

ALLISEN CORPUZ: I just love team golf so much. I played five years of college golf, and that's very familiar for me. Just feeling like you're playing for something more than just yourself, and just the energy around this event. Even over in Europe last year we still had a ton of U.S. fans, and it's so nice to have a home game this year, as well. It's so much fun being out here.

Q. How much of a difference does it make having the home fans cheering?

ALLISEN CORPUZ: I didn't think it would make that much of a difference, but just energy levels. Every single hole you know you're the person that everyone is rooting for.

Q. Stacy sending you out early today. What was the message ahead of that?

ALLISEN CORPUZ: Really just get off to a fast start, get the points we need as soon as we can, get it done, and see how much we can win by.

Q. Who are you going to go out and watch?

ALLISEN CORPUZ: I don't know, it looks like there's a lot of matches out there, but I haven't looked at the leaderboard too much.
