Q. Guys, you were one of the few red spots in what was otherwise a very blue leaderboard throughout the day. How motivated were you to get that first point for the U.S.?

LAUREN COUGHLIN: Yeah, absolutely. We were just trying to go out and do our thing and have fun, and we played some pretty great golf.

Q. Never trailed in your match today. How aware were you of what was happening around the golf course and you probably noticed how quiet it was?

LEXI THOMPSON: Yeah, we saw definitely a few leaderboards out there but we tried to control as much as we can control with our game and our emotions out there and free swing and just tried to make each other comfortable.

Q. Lauren, you mentioned your parents are standing off to the side here, some other members of your family. A rookie 3-0 so far; what has this experience been like for you?

LAUREN COUGHLIN: It's been incredible. In the beginning of the week, it was so busy and I couldn't wait to get to Friday and then it was Thursday night and I was like, man, I wish I would have enjoyed a week a little bit more, it just went by so far. But it's been awesome, and I've been enjoying every minute.
