Quick Quotes
Q. Battling those gusts, what do you make of it?
JORDAN SMITH: I'm more than happy with it. Yeah, I mean, it was probably the strongest on 18. We hit a great tee shot. We weren't sure whether to lay up all the way back or take the bunkers on. We decided to play safe and left ourselves a longer shot in for our third.
Overall really, really happy.
Q. Last two events, finishing in the Top-12, how do you straight from those finishing positions and try to get it done tomorrow?
JORDAN SMITH: Yeah, I mean, obviously I've been playing a lot golf stuff the last couple of weeks. It's just stuff I've taken week-in, week-out, building confidence. I feel like in those sort of conditions, I can control the ball pretty well. So like if it's the same tomorrow, then yeah, hopefully I can keep the good work up.
Q. How would you compare the course conditions today?
JORDAN SMITH: I think it's changed every day this week, just with the different wind directions and holes playing completely different.
Yeah, I mean like 18, you could get up in two easily the first few days and today you couldn't even get anywhere near it. So it does change. It will be just interesting to see what it's like tomorrow.
Q. Do you think with that being said, does it almost bring the best out of you?
JORDAN SMITH: Yeah, you've got that, and you've also got shot-shaping. You've got to really control the ball flight. You're rarely playing to flag number. You're playing 20-plus for the wind or trying to land it sort of 20 short of the green.
Yeah, there's a lot of imagination, sort of thinking, that goes behind your shot.
