Quick Quotes
Q. Here with World No. 1 Lottie Woad. How does it feel to win the Curtis Cup?
LOTTIE WOAD: Yeah, it feels very special. We knew we were ahead going into today and knew we needed to get some points on the board, and everyone managed to pull through. I think we're just a bit relieved and overall ecstatic.
Q. It was your decision to decide to go out and lead the team in today's singles, wasn't it?
LOTTIE WOAD: Catriona asked me if I wanted to go out first, and I was very up for it and said yes. I kind of thought I might be going out first and kind of expected it a little bit, so I was happy to try and lead the team.
Q. When you heard that news that was about to happen today, what were your emotions? How did you feel?
LOTTIE WOAD: Yeah, I was on the 17th green. I didn't at that point know Lorna had won. Mimi had this long putt for the half, and it went in, and we all screamed, and then Catriona told us that Lorna had already won, so that was it. We were trying to tell Mimi as she was walking up the fairway so she knew, and it was all crazy.
Q. How are you going to celebrate tonight?
LOTTIE WOAD: I suspect there will be some partying going on, and I think everyone will celebrate pretty hard.
