Q. Beth and Lorna, you've just put a massive point on the board. How does that feel?

BETH COULTER: It feels really special. We knew that the Americans were going to be coming out thick and fast this afternoon, and Catriona said to us at lunch, make sure that we are also going out there thick and fast.

Hearing the cheers, seeing the blue on the board, it was really spurring us on on the back nine, and we kind of hung in there and we knew it was going to be a gritty match.

We played pretty well, holed some really good putts, and we were a team together, I think, and it was really fun out there with Lorna.

We have a good lead going into tomorrow, I hope.

Q. Beth mentioned the crowd; how did you find the support?

LORNA McCLYMONT: Definitely. I think it definitely helps, and I think having each other, as well. There was a few holes where Beth was kind of just like, you get them to roar first. It's just such a good feeling. It was good.

Q. Some pretty special shots there down the stretch, the shot from Beth into 16 and then the putt on 17?

LORNA McCLYMONT: 100 percent, absolute class. Yeah, way to finish it.

Q. How does that feel, Beth, to pull off those sorts of shots when it's the key moments?

BETH COULTER: Yeah, I think we saw it yesterday from the girls and I probably wasn't as comfortable yesterday, but yesterday probably gave me a bit of belief. I found a little bit of something in my swing, and seeing the girls do it yesterday probably showed us that we can do this and we are good enough.

To pull it off in those moments and to look up and see your teammates cheering and the crowd going absolutely wild is really, really cool. "There's another one," you hear that all over the course, and it's definitely a pick-me-up because we knew they're for us because the American cheers are pretty silent.

Q. How important was it to get a point on the board going into the singles personally?

LORNA McCLYMONT: Yeah, massively. I think it definitely helps with confidence, and I think it's definitely really good going into tomorrow.

Q. Your fans have got the biggest flags out there are, have they not?

LORNA McCLYMONT: No, it's good. It's nice for them just to have lots of flags out there, and we can see them all. Yeah, it's good.

Q. Can you describe the feeling of the momentum that just seems to just seep in on an afternoon like this?

LORNA McCLYMONT: Yeah, I think it just makes you feel good, I suppose. Makes you feel more comfortable, and like Beth said, knowing they're there for us, it's definitely a huge confidence booster.
