Quick Quotes
Q. All right, here with Elizabeth after her second round at the FM Championship. 2-over to make the cut over the past two days. Just talk about how you played here at TPC Boston so far.
ELIZABETH RUDISILL: I played pretty well. The greens are definitely tough, very firm. I'll hit a good shot and just goes way over the green, so you really have to be precise with your distances, and especially judging the wind. The wind has been pretty bad the past two days.
But also just par is a good score out here. So just making pars and birdies when you can.
Q. And it's looking like you're the only amateur to make the cut with is an awesome feat. Talk about what you learned so far playing in an LPGA Tour event this week.
ELIZABETH RUDISILL: I learned a lot, especially mentally. The LPGA players have a lot of confidence in themselves and in their games, which is something that I need to do.
And also, like their decisions off the tee, around the greens, I need to improve on that after seeing these LPGA players do so well at it.
Q. Was there anyone you saw here this week that you were kind of hoping to see or meet or maybe just kind of like what you're saying, watch how they play?
ELIZABETH RUDISILL: No one in particular. Everyone here is a great player. Just observing what everybody does.
I don't know. I'm just happy to play with whoever.
Q. And you're a high school senior, correct?
ELIZABETH RUDISILL: Yes.
Q. So maybe missing a few days of school for this?
ELIZABETH RUDISILL: Missing my first week of school.
Q. Of your senior year?
ELIZABETH RUDISILL: Yes.
Q. Very well worth it it sounds like. Just talk about playing this last year in high school and what you're looking forward to most about collegiate golf maybe.
ELIZABETH RUDISILL: I'm really looking forward to college golf, especially having a team. I don't have a team environment right now. It's definitely like an individual sport.
So having a team environment for four years is going to be really exciting. But I'm just going to try to play some more solid golf for the next year and hopefully be ready to college.
Q. You won the Rolex Junior Girls to get into this event. I'm sure you talked about it, but what did it mean to win that and find out you would be playing in this event because of your win?
ELIZABETH RUDISILL: It meant a lot. I had some rough tournaments, so to bounce back with that one was amazing. I played really solid there and it gave me a lot of confidence going through the whole summer.
I didn't realize until after I won I got a sponsor's exemption, so I was so excited. This week has been great. Obviously wouldn't been possible without the Rolex.
Q. Last question: What are you hoping for this weekend, next two rounds? Move up the leaderboard a little bit. What are you hoping to see?
ELIZABETH RUDISILL: Well, I won't have as many nerves considering I did the hard part, making the cut. I want to keep hitting fairways. I learned little bit about the greens again today, about the firmness of them.
So just continue to play well, minimize the damage out there, and learn from it the players around me.
