Quick Quotes
Q. All right, here with Robyn Choi after her second round at the FM Championship. Another really good round; two back-to-back good rounds. Take me through the day today and maybe how was it different from yesterday.
ROBYN CHOI: I think today -- yesterday was a little bit more consistent. Made a lot of up and downs; few lucky saves.
But I think today I kind of played -- you know, I had a couple bogeys today but it was, I mean, it was expected because I feel like this course is kind of tough. You kind of expect to have bogeys out here.
Overall I'm kind of happy with my game. Had a shaky start on my first hole, on 10. Kind of happy that I made up and down there and kind of continued the momentum from yesterday.
Q. Four birdies on the front nine. Any of those stand out to you? Just how was the front nine in general? Your front nine, by the way, so the back.
ROBYN CHOI: Like I said, I kind of started off, kind of pulled my second shot on the first hole of my day. You know, I don't know if it was a little bit of nerves or what it was. Was a little shaky but recovered.
Then I think I just tried to kind of take it one at a time. First birdie came out on the par-5, so that was good. And I was just making a lot of putts today I think.
I think that really kind of showed in my front nine. Just played consistent. Grabbed the opportunities when I could.
Q. What is it particularly about your game this week that you feel like has helped you play so good, especially on a hard golf course?
ROBYN CHOI: I think my misses are a little bit more -- it's a little better. I think I was kind of hitting a little bit of pulls and a little bit of pushes which is my kind of normal tendencies.
That's tightened up a little bit this week, and like I said, just putting. I think I practiced a lot more out of the rough around the greens this week just knowing how thick the roughs are around the greens.
I'm not going to hit every single green. I tried to practice a lot of those and I think that paid off, yeah.
Q. You're near the top of the leaderboard heading into the weekend. How gratifying is that and what are you looking forward to tomorrow being in contention?
ROBYN CHOI: Honestly, I haven't looked at the leaderboard yet so I don't know. You know, I think it would be a good experience. I think that's kind of what I need right now, is more experience just trying to play against the top players in the world, just putting myself in that position I think will help me just -- you know, I think I just with have to play more in that position to get used to it.
Yeah, be very competitive, but I think I am just stick to my game plan. I think the last two days, yesterday and today worked pretty well, just going to keep stick to go that and hopefully results will come.
