Q. How pleased are you with that, to come out 3-all?

CATRIONA MATTHEW: Absolutely delighted. At one point this morning when we started out, it was looking like we were going to get beaten 3-0, and they made a good comeback this morning. I know Lottie and Sara were a little bit disappointed with their finish, but they've gone out there and won their point this afternoon. Great putts there from Áine and Sara. Lorna and Mimi were up against it; the Americans played some great golf in their match.

Q. Your world No. 1 has helped you a lot today?

CATRIONA MATTHEW: She has indeed. The whole team has played well. To be fair, the standard of golf has been pretty amazing I would say. The Americans have made a lot of birdies, we made a lot of birdies. It was exciting out there in the four-ball. It's nice to just kind of finish off those matches.

Q. Did it feel like back to the Solheim days a little bit today, running around following matches?

CATRIONA MATTHEW: Yeah, just very similar, to be honest. It's the same format and everything, so it is very similar. You're just chasing around wondering where you should be, which match you should go to. But yeah, I think we can kind of nearly even see in the team their confidence growing just from that finish there this afternoon.

Q. We said yesterday forget about rankings, and I guess today proves it. What's it going to come down to, some putts here and there?

CATRIONA MATTHEW: Absolutely, and I think they've shown -- the main thing is they've shown themselves that they can do it when they have to.
