Q. 68 to start your campaign here at the Belfry. Lots of birdies on the card. How did you find it today?

THRISTON LAWRENCE: Yeah, it was good. 16 greens in regulation, which is always nice. I think that's key around this golf course. It's not the longest golf course, but you know, if you can get the greens in regulation and give yourself some nice birdie opportunities, you know, I think you're doing well. So yeah, happy with 4-under.

Q. How is the course playing? We look at the field, there's a big spread in the scores on what guys are putting down in their cards.

THRISTON LAWRENCE: Compared to last year, a lot firmer. Obviously the weather is nice. But yeah, the greens are really great but they are nice and firm. So if you put yourself in the wrong position, it's going to be tough but my play was good off the tee today and I managed my distance control really well, and yeah, posted a pretty easy 68.

Q. You must be pretty high in confidence. We looked at your last three tournaments. You came within the top five at The Open Championship, a win on the Sunshine Tour recently.

THRISTON LAWRENCE: Yeah, the last three years has been good. So I wouldn't really say the last couple of weeks it's been good; the last three years.

Obviously a win does help, and you obviously ooze with confidence but every tournament is a new tournament and you're only as good as the last one. So you know, back to the drawing board today and I had a good plan and managed to execute it.
