BMW CHAMPIONSHIP

August 25, 2024

Adam Scott

Castle Rock, Colorado, USA

Castle Pines Golf Club

Quick Quotes

Q. How would you characterize the day as a whole?

ADAM SCOTT: Not quite the roller coaster that Saturday was, but 10, 11, 12 kind of blew it for me there. I was in position with wedges on every hole and made three bogeys. That's almost unthinkable, really.

I definitely struggled on the greens on the weekend. Just didn't quite have the confidence in some of those putts. I generally played fairly well. I thought I played well off the tee today, which was nice. But just didn't take advantage from there.

It's amazing it came down to one shot, but I felt like my bogeys on 10, 11, 12 gave Keegan a bit of breathing space, and the pressure wasn't really on him, and he didn't make any mistakes.

Q. What was the difference from the first couple days on the greens to the weekend?

ADAM SCOTT: I just think they dried out. A bit different color, a bit different speed, and I just didn't quite -- the rhythm I had the first couple days wasn't quite getting it done. I underread some putts, and then I overread them a little bit today it felt like, compensating.

I'd say my overall rhythm wasn't quite as good on the greens. I was kind of flowing the first couple days, and it was hard work the last couple days.

Q. Do you feel confident where your game is heading to East Lake?

ADAM SCOTT: Yeah. Really I'm disappointed not to have won today, but I'm pretty happy to be going to East Lake because that wasn't on the cards a couple weeks ago. I've played well.

You know, after a couple days of rest and getting my head into next week, it'll be fun to go and have a couple good rounds and kind of find my way up the leaderboard at East Lake.

Q. A sense of pride in playing your way into the TOUR Championship?

ADAM SCOTT: Yeah, absolutely. You know, you kind of grind all year and then finally the last four events my game has really turned around and looked solid. A lot can happen in a few weeks out here, and all of a sudden I've gone from a very frustrating year had I not finished well to now feeling pretty pleased with myself.

But it'll be fun to go and run the tables next week.
