Q. Top of the amateur leaderboard with a flawless 5-under in the second round of the AIG Women's Open at St Andrews. That's probably a pretty special in your golf life.

LOUISE RYDQVIST: Yeah, for sure. It's going to be one of the most special days in my golf life thus far for sure, and I don't think I've soaked it all in yet, but hoping I can get some food and some rest and sleep and get ready for tomorrow.

Q. The conditions comparably for your draw from yesterday to today, similar, maybe a little bit easier? Tell me about that.

LOUISE RYDQVIST: I would say that the wind was strong coming off today. Yesterday it was so gusty. It was insane. But today we came out and it was really gusty. We came out at the turn. You get really exposed by the wind out there. Kind of when we turned, 13, 14, that's when it started to calm down, and was able to take advantage of 14 and 16 really well.

Q. Was there a certain point today where you felt like, I feel like I'm going to be okay today, I'm feeling it?

LOUISE RYDQVIST: Yeah. I mean, I started off just kind of worried about the cut line, and then made two birdies early. I felt like, okay, we're grinding for a low score today.

Then we just kept going, and I kind of forgot about my score and just tried to hit every shot as good as I can, and I think that's when I play my best golf.

We were able to get to that state of mind today, and I'm just very happy about that.

Q. You still have some school left, right?

LOUISE RYDQVIST: Yeah, I have another year.

Q. What would you be doing right now back in North Carolina?

LOUISE RYDQVIST: Well, I'll go back practising, I'll study, I'll compete. College golf right now is a really high level of competition, and we play a really strong schedule. I'm just preparing for pro life for sure.

Q. When does school start?

LOUISE RYDQVIST: It started Tuesday, so I'm kind of late to classes, but I guess this is a good reason.

Q. Is there an event that your team is playing in that you're missing?

LOUISE RYDQVIST: No, we don't start until second week of September, so I will be back before we travel.
