Quick Quotes

Q. Obviously you've had a hell of a year and a lot of success in the senior majors. What would a strong finish for a win on LIV mean to you this year?

RICHARD BLAND: Yeah, I think you would have to put it above everything, personally, I think, just because of the standard of the players that you're playing against. Obviously I don't mean that in any way to play down a senior major. Obviously that's still a great achievement. But to look at the leaderboard that's in front of you, it's pretty stacked.

Yeah, if you came out on top tomorrow, that would be, for me, career defining, I think.

Q. Looking at that leaderboard, what do you think it might take tomorrow, knowing this course, knowing the quality of the players that are out there?

RICHARD BLAND: You know, I think we've definitely got to get to 20. You've got Rahmbo out front at 14. You've certainly got to give him 65, I would think. But he's also capable of going out and shooting another 62.

I was pretty much in this position, I think, last year, come from behind going into Sunday and Bryson goes and shoots 58. I think I shot 65, and you're just picking up his scraps. But all you can do is go out and shoot the best score you can, and hopefully the last four or five holes you've got a say in the tournament. That's all you can ask for.

Q. We obviously have tomorrow and then Chicago, the season-long individual standings. Is that in the back of your mind at all? How nice would it be to finish the year top 24?

RICHARD BLAND: Yeah, of course. At my age to still be competing with these guys kind of says a lot about my game. It would be nice to get that completely wrapped up going into Chicago in a couple of weeks. Again, we'll see. I'm not really going to think about that too much tomorrow. Just go out and play. But one shot at a time and see where it leaves me.
