Quick Quotes
Q. Well-played today. A couple bogeys on the front nine but you managed to turn it around. Can you talk me through your round today.
LYDIA KO: Yeah, I missed a couple short ones early in my round today, and then I just wasn't holing kind of the midrange birdie opportunities, but nice to turn with a birdie on 9. I hit I think every green apart from one on the back nine.
So I was never too far off. But yeah, it was just kind of one of those like average days where I didn't get a lot going but good to kind of turn it around, a couple over par, to finishing under par for the day.
Q. You're going into the final day, four shots off the lead. How are you going to prepare for tomorrow and what's your mindset going into tomorrow?
LYDIA KO: Honestly just the same as the other days. Just hit a couple balls and a few putts. Just kind of get out of the cold. I don't think there's a huge point in hitting a lot of balls, especially in the wind.
So just kind of getting my feels and just keeping it simple. My husband came in, so excited to see him.
Q. Obviously last week was a big week for you. Is it nice to keep the momentum this week going into the final major?
LYDIA KO: Yeah, I think it's nice to kind of play your way into a major championship. Having the three tournaments in Europe, obviously travel-wise is so much easier than being in Tokyo or something and coming over here. So I was always intending to play the three.
It is a long week, so it can get draining. So I'm sure by some point next week, I'm going to be tired but I think that's part of my job to keep my energy levels high and make sure that I'm still feeling fresh for Thursday to Sunday next week as well.
Q. Yesterday, Dundonald gave you some cakes. Have you managed to eat them yet?
LYDIA KO: We had all of the cupcakes. We shared them with the people that were around here and my sister actually took a bite of the big cake as well. Very sweet of them to make that. I know it's a totally new week but I feel like they have been able to celebrate with me, so fortunate for that.
Q. Lastly, how nice is it to have family around these big few weeks for you?
LYDIA KO: Yeah, it's great. It was only my sister and I last week, but I stayed with my brother-in-law and my mom, and my husband are with us this week and next week. It's quite a long way to travel, and I think they definitely chose the right ones to come out to. I really enjoyed having my husband with me at Evian last year. He loves golf. He's always wanted to come to Scotland, so I think he's going to have a great time.
