Quick Quotes
Q. The playoff, that shot on 10 was probably one of the more impressive shots we've seen this week. Had you been back there already earlier today?
ADELA CERNOUSEK: This morning, yeah.
Q. What did you take away from that that you knew how to play the hole?
ADELA CERNOUSEK: Yeah, I had to go way more left because the slope was super brutal. I tried to learn from my mistakes this morning.
Q. What did you think when you were standing over it? Were you confident that you knew what to do this time around after you had the mistake earlier today?
ADELA CERNOUSEK: No. Still like a super hard shot. The ball can go in the bunker short or it can go out of the green at any moment, so I was like, just do your best.
Q. How long did you have for the putt after that?
ADELA CERNOUSEK: Like two meters, six feet.
Q. Going into 11 after you had missed that putt, you find the green, she went off the back side. How confident were you looking at that putt that you're going to be able to two-putt and get that in?
ADELA CERNOUSEK: Yeah, I was just trying to get the right speed and it had a little slope, so I was trying to get the right read with G, and yeah, just have the putt with the right speed.
Q. You're a quarterfinalist at the U.S. Women's Amateur. How does that sound?
ADELA CERNOUSEK: So cool. So fun.
Q. How excited are you for tomorrow and what the rest of the weekend could potentially have in store for you?
ADELA CERNOUSEK: I'm really excited. I can't wait to find out if I get to be here for another day. It's always nice to be able to play this course one more time because it's beautiful. Yeah, really cool.
Q. How have you seen the course change or how has your approach changed now that you've played it four or five days in a row?
ADELA CERNOUSEK: Today it changed a lot with the wind. It's been very different. It hasn't been as hot. It was actually really hard today to adapt with the wind. I made a lot of mistakes this morning, so I still have a lot of things to learn. But yeah, I'm learning how to play the course every time.
Q. Being at Texas A&M, playing in the heat is probably something you're pretty used to. Do you feel like that gives you an advantage over similar players in the field?
ADELA CERNOUSEK: Maybe, but I feel like the heat is hard for everyone. I don't think it's an advantage. I'm used to practicing in the heat in the summer, but it's still brutal for anybody. It doesn't matter if I'm in it every day.
