Quick Quotes
Q. How is it today?
AMY YANG: It's playing tough out there. It's getting drier every day. Especially starting strong first and second hole, and finishing last three to oh four holes is very tough out there. But I think I played pretty good overall. I didn't make huge -- I mean, on No. 12, I made a mistake here and there but other than that I think I played pretty solid, yeah.
Q. What's the trickiest stretch of the golf course?
AMY YANG: I want to say, to me, it's the first two holes. It's playing long. Beginning of the round, so you feel nervous. Yeah.
Q. How do you shake off the nerves?
AMY YANG: Well, just embracing it.
Q. So do you feel you're still in the running for a medal? How do you feel about the rest of the competition?
AMY YANG: Yeah, I wish I can make a few more putts out there. But you know, you can't force golf. So next 2-putt rounds, I'm just going to get out and do my best.
Q. How is the atmosphere out there on the course? Is it helping you? Is it overwhelming you sometimes?
AMY YANG: No, it was amazing. I played with Celine the last two rounds, and you know, and way more friends came than I thought. I thought it was very fun and amazing.
Q. For those of us who have not been to your win earlier this year, what is the crowd like compared to that? A major? People keep comparing this event to a major or trying to understand if it can compare.
AMY YANG: Major, yeah, we do have pretty good crowds out there. I heard that Olympics, especially men and for us, there are a lot of non-golf fans. That's what I heard. But I can't really tell because they also represent, not just rooting for Celine but they also respect other players when they are playing. So I thought it was amazing. I wish we have more fans.
Q. I know the guys last week, they felt like they could tell the difference between maybe a golf fan and somebody else.
AMY YANG: Maybe the way they rooting for Celine, like more louder.
