Q. Alexa, this week is all about birdies, all about getting off to fast starts. Slow start today. Bogeyed two of your first three and then reeled off nine birdies. What was at turn around and secret to getting things back on track?
ALEXA PANO: Yeah, I definitely had a few errant swings today at different times in the round, but never really lost my focus and just got back on track right afterwards.
I am pretty happy how I recovered every time I made a bad swing or a bad hole.
Q. One of the hallmarks of your game is a fearlessness and freedom. How important will those characteristics be tomorrow?
ALEXA PANO: Yeah, definitely. Can't let up out here. Like you said, it's a birdiefest. That requires just going for everything, and that's kind of been my game plan the whole week. Sticking to that tomorrow.
Q. Seems to be a good time of the year for you. Around about a year ago you won your maiden victory on the LPGA. When you have a recent memory of victory, how important is that coming in to try to win again?
ALEXA PANO: Yeah, I think positive energy this time of year for sure. Also this course I played pretty well on last year. Familiarity is something that I didn't have last year, everything being fresh, so it's really nice coming back to a course that I know I liked and feeling comfortable on it.
