Quick Quotes
Q. How was it out there today for you?
VIKTOR HOVLAND: I had a nice round going for a long time. Not very good finishing hole, but it was better today than it was yesterday.
Q. What was the key to this round?
VIKTOR HOVLAND: I hit it somewhat straight today and made some putts. I haven't really putted very well all week. So it was nice to see some putts go in.
Q. Can you talk about the difficulty of hole 18?
VIKTOR HOVLAND: It's just a really narrow fairway, and with how the pins are, they are really close to the water. When you hit it in the rough, which I think most guys are going to do, it's just a little bit of a guessing game. You have to hit it really hard out of the rough if you get a nice lie and try to land it as closely over the water and get it to stop as quick as possible. It's just really difficult to get close unless you're in the middle of the fairway.
Q. We spoke to your roommate, Casper. What does his support mean to you, and can you talk about your relationship?
VIKTOR HOVLAND: I don't know him very well but we have a lot of mutual friends, and it was nice to finally get to spend some time together and get to know each other. It was cool to see him out here after he lost his match. I know he's a big golfer, and we kind of like to just geek out and talk about golf, and I'm trying to learn a little bit about tennis, as well.
Q. Do you think he would make a good golfer?
VIKTOR HOVLAND: If he would make a good golfer? He already is.
Q. He said he was dreaming about maybe turning pro one day after his tennis career.
VIKTOR HOVLAND: He's super athletic and he's already pretty good. I think if he spends a lot of time practicing, he could get a lot better.
Q. Do you ever think about picking up another sport after your playing career?
VIKTOR HOVLAND: No. I'm completely talentless.
