Quick Quotes
Q. All right, I'm here with Miss Polly Mack after another great round here at the Portland Classic. How hard or easy was it to follow just your 9-under round yesterday when you were teeing off later this afternoon?
POLLY MACK: I mean, it's a comfortable pressure. You obviously want to do well after that round, but it's still not the easiest golf course. It's still a golf course. It's still 18 holes to get through it.
I think I did pretty well. I had a slightly rough start with a bogey. Other than that I think it was pretty smooth overall. Made some putts. Some were a little bumpy today in the afternoon which was normal. I just went with that. Yeah, have some fun.
Q. I want to ask how much does your length help you out here? I know you're one of our longest hitters out there. How much has it helped you or have you been holding back maybe a little at all?
POLLY MACK: Not really. I pretty much do the same thing as always. We do have now second week in a row the 3-wood out, just hitting 2-irons or driver off the tee basically, which is nice. I feel comfortable with my 2-iron in my hand, comfortable with my driver right now, too.
So not only the distance works for me, but also dialing it in and hitting fairways is important here. That's what I'm doing right now, so, yeah.
Q. Obviously afternoon round today. I have two questions related to that. Teeing off later, did you look at the scoreboard at all going into today and see that there were some low numbers out there this morning?
POLLY MACK: I gave it a quick look. I try to not pay attention to it during the round. I didn't even know where I was at. I knew I was doing well, but, no, I didn't look at the leaderboard, scoreboard out there on the round.
Q. But you did before?
POLLY MACK: Yeah. But that was like probably when the first couple finished.
Q. Yeah. Got you. Secondly, in the afternoon you said it got a bit bumpy. What did you learn about the course, the round, playing in the afternoon today? You'll have an afternoon tee time tomorrow, so what did you sort of learn and prepare today?
POLLY MACK: I mean, it was hot out there, so we count a couple off the yardage because of the heat. Greens are bumpy, you got to accept that not every putt is gonna go straight, which is okay.
Yeah, just trust it and have some fun, yeah.
Q. Moving day obviously being tomorrow, what sort of round is it going to take on moving day to maybe put you in a good spot for championship Sunday?
POLLY MACK: I wouldn't say a number right now, but I would say the most important is just to stay in the process and I've been making really good putts over, and as long as they're falling tomorrow too, and I think they will. Feeling good with my putter. It's hot, so...
