Q. Another day here at Le Golf National. What are some of the differences between day one and day two?

JOEL GIRRBACH: Played a bit tougher today, I would say. I had a lot of long irons into the green. A lot of 5-irons, 4-irons. It was quite tough to get it close. Played great the front nine and then I lost it a bit on the back nine. Just made some bad tee shots and yeah, always fighting for par. Then the putts didn't drop.

Q. That front nine, what was working well on those first nine holes?

JOEL GIRRBACH: Yeah, I mean, I had good tee shots. Hit the greens. Made some good putts and then yeah, if you hit the fairways and the greens, then you have chances. And it was the opposite on the back nine. So let's try again tomorrow.

Q. You talked yesterday about the feeling of a Ryder Cup-like atmosphere. Didn't look like the crowd died down today. Just another day of awesome fan support?

JOEL GIRRBACH: Yeah, they are still going crazy, which is amazing. I hope so have some more on the weekend. It's fantastic.
