Q. First Senior Women's Open. Pretty interesting scorecard. Four birdies, five bogeys, a double and an eagle. Walk me through it.

MARIA McBRIDE: Yeah, I was driving it really, really well today, but my putting was not very good. I hit a couple bad shots into the greens, one that cost me a double. But other than that, like I said, I just really hit the driver well but just didn't take advantage of the shots into the greens and just putted pretty bad.

Q. Obviously this course is known for its tricky greens. Would you attribute it to that?

MARIA McBRIDE: Yeah, I think it just depends because yesterday the greens were so slow because you couldn't mow them and then today they were just really fast, obviously. I just didn't adjust well enough for it. Hopefully I can go out tomorrow and place the ball a little bit better and just take advantage of my good driving.

Q. What would you say your expectations were coming into the week?

MARIA McBRIDE: I had pretty high expectations. I feel like my game is where it should be. I'm hitting the ball far, and that obviously always helps in these tournaments. Overall I've had pretty good expectations, and three more rounds to go, so we'll see what we can do.

Q. Can you talk about the clubs you used for the eagle?

MARIA McBRIDE: Yeah, so driver, 5-iron to maybe 20 feet.

Q. Then you sunk it from there?

MARIA McBRIDE: Yep.
