Quick Quotes
Q. What's your experience been like so far since arriving in Paris? When did you get here?
JOEL GIRRBACH: We got here Sunday and we stayed two nights in the Village. Yeah, it's great. I mean, a lot of sports men, sports women in the Village. Nice to meet them, as well. It's a very special atmosphere.
But it's also a bit more, I would say, chaotic to what we are used to having on Tour. Because there, we know everyone, it's like a little family. Everything is organised like the same every week, and this is a bit different. It's a bit harder and more work for us as well. I think that's an experience we make, as well but otherwise it's very special.
Q. Did you attend the Opening Ceremony?
JOEL GIRRBACH: No, I only came on Sunday because I was in the States last week and came back.
Q. Have you been paying attention to some of the other events this week and have you sort of followed some of your fellow countrymen and women?
JOEL GIRRBACH: Yeah, as I said, we stayed in the house of Switzerland there and we followed some other sports. It was cool to see.
Q. What sort of sports are you most interested in?
JOEL GIRRBACH: We watched a bit of mountain biking. Swimming is quite interesting, beach volleyball. That's the cool thing with the Olympics, you have so many options. Tennis, we are a tennis country so that's always been the back of the list. It's cool.
Q. Have you been to Le Golf National before?
JOEL GIRRBACH: I've been here as a junior 15 years ago. So not many memory us but a few.
Q. From a strategy perspective, how do you think you need to perform?
JOEL GIRRBACH: I think it's a great track. It's in great conditions. It's demanding off the tee and it's important to find the fairway to have a chance. The rough around the greens, very thick, and you could end up with really bad lies. You'd better hit it straight.
