Quick Quotes

Q. Talk a little bit about the round. A Herculean effort for the team to finish second.

CAM SMITH: Yeah. We were missing Leish, and having Wade in, yeah, not to say Wade isn't a good player, but I think we could have been really close this week to getting a W. It was a really good effort by Wade, and he'll be thanked.

Q. About your own game today, how do you assess it?

CAM SMITH: You know, it's hard because I feel like I didn't do much wrong the first six or seven holes, and I was a couple over par. Really just staying in it. It goes to show what you can do from not even being in the tournament to almost winning it. Yeah, it was good to stick in there, good to hit some good shots down the stretch with some pressure on.

Q. Do you feel better about the way things are headed? I know we're coming into the end of the season. Seems like you've maybe found something.

CAM SMITH: You know, the game has felt like it's going in the right direction for a long time. It's frustrating not to get a win by just a few shitty holes in there, and that's it.

Q. I wanted to ask about your Olympic experience.

CAM SMITH: Yeah, it was great. We had the COVID Olympics, so we couldn't get out and watch and stuff, but Leish and I made fun of it. It was a good week, one I won't forget.
