THE 152ND OPEN

July 21, 2024

Si Woo Kim

Troon, South Ayrshire, Scotland, UK

Mixed Zone

Q. How was it for you out there? Not your favourite day I don't think.

SI WOO KIM: Yeah, it was a tough day. I didn't hit it very well, like Friday. I had a hard day. It was a four-stroke different on 17. That's it.

Q. The conditions yesterday were pretty tough. Scheffler said it was the toughest back nine he's ever had to play. Today a lot easier. Were you struggling to strike it how you wanted?

SI WOO KIM: Yeah. I didn't putting well, but the wind was switch. The wind was different until No. 9 and then switched back to the normal, so that was weird. But we played more easier than yesterday, I think.

Q. What now for you? Are you going to go to the States or go to Korea?

SI WOO KIM: I'm going to take two weeks off and then trying to play Wyndham and the rest of the Playoffs.

Q. Talk about the broomstick putter. You've used it for a while, right?

SI WOO KIM: Yeah, I used it for almost more than a year, and then I started with the short putter this year, and then I was using two weeks long putter again and then -- I think it's sometimes really good and sometimes -- if not feeling it, sometimes really struggle. Even if not going, I like better speed, so that's why I choose the short putter again.

Q. Do you still have that bet going with Pat Perez about clubs or something like that?

SI WOO KIM: Oh, he went to LIV, so that deal is done.
