THE 152ND OPEN

July 21, 2024

Sepp Straka

Troon, South Ayrshire, Scotland, UK

Mixed Zone

Q. Sepp, level par for today. How would you assess your week?

SEPP STRAKA: Yeah, it was kind of a mixed bag. A lot of good, a lot of not so good. But overall I think I played fairly well and battled the elements fairly well.

Q. Describe what it was like playing in these conditions across this week.

SEPP STRAKA: Yeah, it was really tough. Today was a little more normal. It was really windy at the start of the round, and it's starting to level off a little bit now. More of a normal day of golf. Yesterday almost didn't feel like golf; it was just trying to survive.

But yeah, it made it really tough. A lot of crosswinds this week made this course really tough.

Q. Next up for you, the Olympics for Austria; how much are you looking forward to going to Paris?

SEPP STRAKA: Yeah, I can't wait. Going to Austria next week and head there from there on Sunday, so really excited for that.

Q. Have you played Le Golf National before?

SEPP STRAKA: I have not. That'll be exciting, too. I hear it's a great track, so really looking forward to that.

Q. How much will your experience from the Olympic Games help heading into this one?

SEPP STRAKA: I definitely think so. It was a little different. I'm sure it's going to be very different because it was COVID, so no spectators, we couldn't go to any other events or anything. I think it'll be a little more fun this time around.
