Q. Another solid round, 24 points. How you feeling heading into the weekend.
TAYLOR PENDRITH: Yeah, I feel good. I feel fresh. I've had two weeks off. Came here, didn't really do a lot of prep. The mind is feeling refreshed.
Golf game felt a little bit sketchy yesterday. I've come back and hit some really good shots today. Got off to a great start. Kind of stalled out a little bit on the back nine. Had a lot of opportunities.
Yeah, I feel real good with everything.
Q. What have you been up to since Rocket Mortgage?
TAYLOR PENDRITH: Yeah, I played 10 out of 11, which is a lot for me. Obviously good problems to have. I got into some events that I wasn't planning on being at. Yeah, I put the clubs down.
I played a couple times. I drove my car home from Florida to Ontario with a few of my buddies. We played three times. Then I played once on Sunday before here.
Yeah, four days in the last two weeks. But it's been really good to have some downtime with the family. Yeah, it's been nice.
Q. How would you assess the season so far? Your first PGA TOUR win.
TAYLOR PENDRITH: Yeah, it's been a roller coaster. I feel like I got off to a really good start. Had two top 10s in the first three events or four events, then missed a few cuts in a row. Wasn't feeling great. My shoulder was bugging me a little bit.
Yeah, to get the win, I mean, it's been my best season so far for sure. I've had a lot of solid finishes at some good events. It's been a really good year. Hopefully finish it off. A few more events this season. Yeah, looking to play well.
Q. You played here every year. In decent FedExCup standing. What was the motivation of adding this on your schedule?
TAYLOR PENDRITH: I wasn't sure if I was going to be in The Open or not. I was always planning to take a two-week break just to rest. If I didn't get in The Open, I was going to come here. I did not get in The Open. Was very excited to come here.
Really like this place. It's a really cool town. The golf course is great. Weather is perfect every time I've been here. Got some good vibes here. Yeah, really like the golf course and the format. It's fun.
Obviously super happy to be here. Hopefully have a good weekend.
Q. Other than this event, had you done Stableford in other events before?
TAYLOR PENDRITH: No, never. It's a fun format once a year, I think. It rewards aggressive play. It's better to make more birdies and bogeys than pars. It kind of suits my game. There's a lot of eagle chances and birdie chances out here. It's a fun format.
Q. Would you say you play more aggressive than other weeks with this?
TAYLOR PENDRITH: Slightly, yeah. Maybe in spots I do. The three par 5s are all kind of reachable. You can get some eagle looks there. A couple short par 4s, as well. Yeah, you're trying to make as many birdies as you can. Whatever the easiest way to do it... I would say I play a little more aggressive.
Q. Trying to make a push for your first TOUR Championship appearance and Presidents Cup. What is the motivation for play these final few weeks?
TAYLOR PENDRITH: I'm going to play the rest of the regular season events. Yeah, hopefully have a good finish. I've had a very solid year. I'm hoping to play well. If I don't, it is what it is. I can't complain. I've had a wonderful year.
Would really like to play well in the last few events. Be in the mix for a spot on that team would be amazing. TOUR Championship would be amazing.
Just hopefully go play some good golf and it will take care of itself.
Q. Family is out here. Have you been able to do anything fun?
TAYLOR PENDRITH: We're going to a gondola today because our little guy loves gondolas. Since Mexico, that's all he talks about. We told him we'll take him. Today is the day. I'm not sure what it's called, but it's 15 minutes from here. We'll go up the mountain, hang out.
