Q. ... best player in this field at least WAGR-wise and hadn't lost a hole to this week and you took three in a row off her?
ANNA FANG: Yeah.
Q. Just assess your play today. To take somebody of that caliber to the final hole.
ANNA FANG: Yeah, I got off to a pretty bad start but she played great, and then I just got -- I don't know, I was just like I should probably be handling it better, so I was just like, all right, let's do it.
And then I just started hitting them close, hitting -- I hit a really good putt on 8 that gave me a bunch of momentum.
Q. Holed out on 9. I heard you almost had a hole-in-one on 10.
ANNA FANG: Yeah.
Q. How close was it on 10?
ANNA FANG: It was like that close.
Q. Really? Have you had a hole-in-one in competition before?
ANNA FANG: No. It was pretty close. It would've taken a lot of luck.
Q. What did you find out about yourself this week? 59 seed. You have experience in USGA events, but the caliber of players that you beat and obviously Jasmine is a world class amateur.
ANNA FANG: Yeah, I wasn't feeling too well the first day so I think that might have been why I didn't have the best score.
But like I said yesterday, I was like, what do I have to lose? I made the cut. Just play my absolute best and try to get as far as I can.
Q. Did you learn something about yourself this week?
ANNA FANG: Definitely. I can definitely take on some better players than I thought I could.
Q. Couple weeks you're going to be playing again with older kids.
ANNA FANG: Yeah, the Am.
Q. And you made the round of 32 as a 13 year old. Excited about that?
ANNA FANG: Yes, definitely. It's going to be really fun.
