Q. Thoughts on the round today?
SEPP STRAKA: Yeah, I played okay. I wasn't very sharp on the front nine into the green. Got unlucky a couple times. Yesterday I got lucky a few times and ended up shooting a good score, and today unlucky a few times. I had to work pretty hard on the back nine. I honestly played pretty well on the back nine, but yeah, early on just not very sharp with my iron play.
Q. Relative to other tournaments you've played, give us a sense of how difficult those conditions are.
SEPP STRAKA: Yeah, very difficult, especially yesterday teeing off on the front nine. It was blowing like it is right now. Yeah, it's just so many crosswinds. You never have one that's straight down or straight into. The ball is always moving about 20 yards left to right, and yeah, it makes it kind of hard to play for that.
Q. Relieved to get in before the wind really picks up this afternoon as it's forecast?
SEPP STRAKA: Yeah, I think it's going to be similar to yesterday, so I think the waves will probably be fairly even. But yeah, that front nine was really nice. There wasn't a whole lot of wind, and I was not able to take advantage. I made a couple of dumb mistakes.
But yeah, played nicely on the back nine once the wind picked up actually, so who knows what that's about.
Q. Bob MacIntyre brought a gift for you and the rest of the Ryder Cup team; can you tell me about that?
SEPP STRAKA: Yeah, he did. It was very nice of him, with a little note. Yeah, he's from Oban, left us a little bottle of Scotch. I love Scotch, so that worked out pretty nicely, so I really appreciate that.
