THE MODERATOR: How did it feel for you out there today?

HUBERT HURKACZ: Yeah, it's the first match at Wimbledon, so always it's such an amazing event. Being out here and seeing the fans, it's really special. A bit rainy today, but managed to get through this one.

THE MODERATOR: Questions, please.

Q. You seemed to have a lot of fans out there today. How did that sort of help you through the match?

HUBERT HURKACZ: It definitely helped a lot. Especially when I started to play better, that really built the confidence and just really gave me that extra, extra energy.

Q. At the beginning of the year you played with Iga at the United Cup. Did you have any conversation with her about how she deals with pressure, the expectations?

HUBERT HURKACZ: Well, a little bit here and there, but yeah, just watching her play, watching her win, that's really inspiring. You can definitely see how she amazingly deals with those difficult situations.

Q. Obviously grass is a surface that suits your game with your serve, but growing up, what was the slam that you liked to perform the best?

HUBERT HURKACZ: Well, I really love grass. Wimbledon is so special. So just coming here, just feeling the whole atmosphere, the crowd, and just so much history. So, yeah, that would be special to lift a trophy at the end of the week here -- two weeks.

Q. I wondered what you thought about your opponent today. I thought he moved very well around the court and started really well.

HUBERT HURKACZ: Radu was playing really great tennis. We were battling. They were close sets, and I needed to raise my level, especially after the rain delay. I knew I had to change few things and managed to do it.
