THE CHAMPIONSHIPS

July 4, 2024

Elena Rybakina

Wimbledon, London, UK

Press Conference

E. RYBAKINA/L. Siegemund

6-3, 3-6, 6-3

Q. First of all, how are you feeling out on the grass today?

ELENA RYBAKINA: Well, it was tough match, but happy with the win and happy to play another one.

Q. Where do you feel that your level is so far this week?

ELENA RYBAKINA: Well, I think with every match it's going to get better and better. Today was tricky opponent, and I was not playing the best. But it's good to win even if the day -- the game is not going your way.

So I think, as I say, every match is going to give more confidence.

Q. And you'll be facing the winner of Wozniacki or Leylah Fernandez in the next round. Could you just talk a little bit about how your game matches up with both of those girls.

ELENA RYBAKINA: With Leylah, we played this year in Doha, and it was tough one. It was also very windy that day. She's lefty, and she has good feet. She's moving well, trying to take time from the opponent. It's going to be tough one for sure.

If it's going to be Wozniacki, she's great player. Just came back now. I didn't watch her matches recently, but she's a fighter. Again, there is no easy matches, so it's going to be tough no matter what.
