THE MODERATOR: Giovanni, how would you assess your level today?

GIOVANNI MPETSHI PERRICARD: Well, it was a good match for me (laughing), yeah. Yeah, I did a lot of good things on the court. Very happy about my level. It was nice since the beginning of the match. So yeah, I was feeling good on the court. Yeah, happy to get the win.

Q. This is now your best Grand Slam to date. I want to know how special Wimbledon is to you.

GIOVANNI MPETSHI PERRICARD: I always love the tennis. It's one of the first Grand Slams I think, so every champion won this tournament. So for me it's like the home or the house or tennis paradise.

Yeah, I watch a lot of finals when I was young. So for me Wimbledon is a special place and special place to be. When you play, it's like unbelievable.

Q. Did you catch any of Arthur Fils earlier?

GIOVANNI MPETSHI PERRICARD: Not yet. We just text on Snapchat, but nothing else.
