Q. What are your emotions qualifying for The Open?

AARON RAI: Yeah, incredible. I think it still really has not sunk in. I really did not have those expectations going into today. I mean, any of the majors are incredible. The British Open is obviously very, very special. So yeah, just incredibly pleased and proud.

Q. Was it on your mind at all today as you were playing your round?

AARON RAI: No. Not really. I was aware at the start of the week of there being three qualification spots. I was aware of it at different times during the week but I think I felt so far out of it today, or going into today; that it didn't really cross my mind, which is probably the best thing in disguise. It's great to be stood here now, and I have good feelings for next week.

Q. The opportunity to play Royal Troon, you've played The Open before, but what does that mean to you to play in The Open there?

AARON RAI: I haven't played Royal Troon before. So I think there will be a lot of preparation and work between tomorrow and Wednesday. I remember watching a little bit of it in 2016. But I don't really have that much knowledge of it. I'm just looking forward to seeing it and playing it next week.
