Q. Celine, opening round of 2-under. What did you make of your performance?

CELINE BOUTIER: A little bit of a disappointing finish for me, but I feel like I played solid all day. I had some good opportunities and I definitely feel like I could have scored a little bit lower.

But it was a good opening day and hopefully better tomorrow.

Q. You've been very busy for the buildup of this tournament. Lots of media attention of course. Standing on that first tee, what were the emotions like?

CELINE BOUTIER: Yeah, it's definitely very special. Just any opportunity I get to play in France is always nice, and coming back as defending champion is a little bit different.

I thought it was very heartwarming to see all the people show up and cheering for me, so I tried to play the best I could.

Q. Obviously anticipating pretty awful weather tomorrow. Hopefully it will miss us. Will that affect your strategy at all?

CELINE BOUTIER: I don't think so. If anything, should make the greens a little bit softer so maybe that way playing a bit easier.

It's so unpredictable the weather here, so it's really hard to tell.
