Quick Quotes
Q. When you look back to least year and the duel with Rory, do you look back at that as a learning experience for a missed opportunity?
ROBERT MacINTYRE: No, it was a learning experience. Rory won the golf tournament. I didn't gift him it or anything. I fully won the golf tournament. So I had to take it as a learning experience.
But I've realised a lot more this year that I've taken more learning experiences that have helped me progress my golf. And I think that's the way you've got to look at it. Every week you're losing most weeks. You're not winning but it's about trying to find the positives on that and reflecting and moving forward so that you're going to try and hopefully win more regularly.
Q. Obviously we saw the emotions that you had last year coming up just short. What would it mean to win your National Championship?
ROBERT MacINTYRE: If you're not winning a major championship, as a Scot, you want to win The Scottish Open. I've watched since a young, young boy live at Loch Lomond and I've always dreamed of playing in a Scottish Open. Played in a few and obviously came close and won but this is one I want to win. It's not major championships. It's Scottish Open.
Q. Since getting your first PGA TOUR victory a few weeks ago at the Canadian Open, I know you have not changed as a player but have you changed your outlook?
ROBERT MacINTYRE: Not at all. I think to be honest, the Canadian Open win wouldn't have happened if I didn't have the fall at Myrtle Beach and then hanging in there at the PGA and then finishing strong.
Canadian Open wouldn't have happened if I didn't have them two experiences. I learned so much from Myrtle Beach and the PGA. Canadian Open happens after learning from both of them.
