Q. What was the biggest challenge out there today?
LEONA MAGUIRE: The golf course is drying out quite a bit. Greens are firming up. Fairways are firming up. Some of those holes played quite a bit different this afternoon than they did earlier in the week and also from yesterday morning when it was still kind of dewy out there.
Just adjusting for those bigger bounces. Hit 3-wood off some of the fairways that we hit driver off yesterday, and then much bigger bounce into the greens.
Q. You reached out to coach Dan Brooks at Duke for some advice. He told you you like being strategic. What's your strategy on this course this week?
LEONA MAGUIRE: It's just try and hit as many fairways as you can. Give myself as many chances as I can, so I feel like I've been hitting my irons and hybrids well, so for me the big this is keeping it in the fairway and not having to bend it around those trees as much as possible.
Greens are rolling well, so just try and hole some more putts over the weekend.
Q. Relishing the major test here this week has been a goal of yours; you were certainly tested today. How well do you feel like you're handling that and taking it all in?
LEONA MAGUIRE: Yeah, I think I handled it really well today. Like you said, the golf course has changed quite a lot, so you kind of had to adjust on the fly and use your instincts a lot.
Me and Dermot kind of worked our on that. Yeah, just tied to pick the right shots at the right time.
