Quick Quotes
Q. That bogey/birdie start and then followed it by eight pars before making that birdie on the 11. How would you characterize that start there?
TAYLOR PENDRITH: Yeah, it was definitely a slower start than I would have hoped for, but yeah, kind of made a sloppy bogey on 1, and then birdied 2, which was great, and just didn't really give myself enough looks today. But I battled hard and had some good looks on the back nine and hung in there. It would have been nice to play the par-5s a little bit better, but, yeah, 2-under is still a decent round.
Q. You just barely missed that putt on 18 to get to 3-under, you're 7-under for the tournament. Just how do you like your game so far this entering the weekend?
TAYLOR PENDRITH: Yeah, it's good. Yesterday I hit it really well, and today wasn't my best ball-striking day, but putted really good both days, so lots of positives moving into the weekend. If I can hit a few more fairways this weekend and keep the putter hot, then it should be fun.
Q. And then just with this kind of blistering heat and everything like that, what were the conditions like for you, did they kind of tend to your game or did it just not matter at all?
TAYLOR PENDRITH: I would like it to be a little cooler, but, yeah, it is what it is. It's been hot, I feel like, most weeks we played. This week is especially hot. But the ball's going far, got a little windy there kind of mid round which made it tricky, but I just drink a lot of water and try and stay hydrated.
