Q. 3&2, I take it you were up fairly early, you won the first three?

CALUM SCOTT: Yeah, I won the first three.

Q. That helps.

CALUM SCOTT: Definitely does. Helps out the nerves. I started with a par, birdie and a par, and then I just kept it steady. Kept it in play, and I think putting that pressure on when you're on the fairway, and hitting greens, almost makes them feel like they have to do something. Almost forces your opponent's hand. I think I got him on the first few holes but made a few sloppy mistakes in the round but recovered well. I bounced back good. Won 13, 14, birdied both of those, that was huge, to go 4-up with four to play. Then bogeyed 15, then both parred 16. Made it a little easier coming in.

Q. As you said, the nerves, just kind of par for the course during a championship like this?

CALUM SCOTT: Exactly. You just want to get through, beating your opponent on the day.

Q. What was the birdie, the second hole there, birdie?

CALUM SCOTT: Yeah, I hit 3-iron. It was blowing downwind. So that hole has been really tough all week until today, those first few holes were nice downwind. Then 3-iron and 105 yards and stuck it to 15 feet and rolled it in.

Q. How many times have you taken the driver out today?

CALUM SCOTT: I took it out once.

Q. You've been kind of plotting your way. That's been the tactic the last couple of days. So just kind of irons off the tee?

CALUM SCOTT: Yeah, 2-iron, 3-iron, good weapons around here. So I tried to use them as much as I can, yeah.

Q. It's a good start to get going, let him make the mistakes?

CALUM SCOTT: Yeah, the momentum was kind of my way the whole way, especially when you're up so much. Whenever a mistake happens on his end, it kind of just makes him try and do something. So I think it definitely helps being up early. But anything can happen in match play.

CALUM SCOTT: Absolutely.
