Q. Can you talk about the round.

HIDEKI MATSUYAMA: Obviously tough conditions. My ball-striking wasn't great. There's putts where I wanted to make it, but unfortunately I wasn't able to do it, so overall it was a tough round.

Q. Talk about the chips that you were hitting around the green. It seemed like you hit a ton of them really close.

HIDEKI MATSUYAMA: Seemed like I was trying to do difficult things, which resulted in situations where I had to hit a chip shot.

Q. Talk about the U.S. Open in general. You've had a pretty good track record. What do you like about the setups?

HIDEKI MATSUYAMA: It was too difficult for me. I'm good to play here next year.
