Dallas Mavericks
Game 3: Postgame
Boston Celtics 106, Dallas Mavericks 99
Q. Remarkable comeback to make it close. What were the emotions in this room afterward?
P.J. WASHINGTON JR.: Obviously, we were upset about it. We had a terrible third quarter, but our backs were against the wall, so we just had to make an effort to go out there and get a W. At the end of the day, we just have to take it one game at a time.
Q: For you personally these Finals have been frustrating. You had a significant role in that comeback. What did it feel like to get things working a little bit?
P.J. WASHINGTON JR.: It didn’t feel good at all. We lost the game. I’m not really worried about that at the end of the day. it’s one game at a time.
Q: How do you guys rally? How do you take what you did well and apply it in your attempt to make history?
P.J. WASHINGTON JR.: We just have to have pride. At the end of the day, you can’t go out like that. It’s first to four. Back against the wall, you just got to respond.
Q: What did you see Kyrie do better tonight?
P.J. WASHINGTON JR.: He was aggressive early, got to his spots and just made shots. That’s the Ky we expect him to be and we just got to do a better job at helping him out.
Q: Can you describe what happened on the late block call against you on Jrue?
P.J. WASHINGTON JR.: I thought I had my feet set, but the ref thought otherwise so they called a foul.
