Quick Quotes
Q. Carlos, congratulations on your very first LIV individual win. It's been a long time coming. You came so close a couple of times, and here you are in front of your family, in your home state. How much does this mean to you?
CARLOS ORTIZ: It means a lot. I've been working really hard, as how you've said, I've come close a couple times. I think I learned a lot from Australia and I just tried to stay patient, do my thing, and it worked out.
Q. That was a high-pressure chip here on the 18th. What was going through your mind when you were standing over it?
CARLOS ORTIZ: Don't chunk it because people was going to get mad at me, so I just made sure I did -- no kidding, I've been working on those chips. It's easy right now. I don't even know what I did. It was an easy chip.
Q. Is gold medal at the Olympics on your mind?
CARLOS ORTIZ: Obviously I would love to get into the British. I'm not going to be able to get into the U.S. Open, but yeah, I think getting ready for Nashville and the summer in Europe.
