THE MODERATOR: It was a tough match today. Can you explain to us your feelings after your tournament?

KATERINA SINIAKOVA: Yes, definitely tough match, tough day. I'm really disappointed, but that's tennis, and I need to move on. I'm still playing doubles. So, yeah, definitely tough match.

THE MODERATOR: Questions, please.

Q. Just tell us a bit about playing out there. You were obviously playing a French girl, and there were a lot of fans out there. How did you find the atmosphere?

KATERINA SINIAKOVA: Yeah, well, I was prepared for that. I knew it. I know the French crowd can be loud. So, yeah, I mean, it was definitely tough. But, on the other side, it was nice atmosphere on a small court.

Q. You might have seen that Amélie Mauresmo has said that sometimes it gets too rowdy, so they're going to stop people drinking on the court.

KATERINA SINIAKOVA: Yeah, definitely they should be respectful I think. I mean, every player understand that they are supporting French player. I mean, it's totally normal, but I think there should be respect for another player who is playing against them. So sometimes I'm missing this. So, yeah, I agree actually.

Q. I was wondering if from your perspective, did you notice a boost in confidence in your opponent when the French fans were rooting for her?

KATERINA SINIAKOVA: I think it's helping for sure. I was trying to focus on myself because I knew it. I was expecting it, and they were cheering a lot.

But if I would be on the other side, it's really helpful. I played a few Fed Cup matches, and it's amazing to have crowd like this, loud. So definitely they were helping her, and I was just trying to be ready to be focused.
