Q. Scottie, you said yesterday you didn't feel like yourself. Today you certainly looked like yourself. Did it feel that way?
SCOTTIE SCHEFFLER: Not quite. I think I was still fairly tired. I think this morning when I woke up, I still felt a bit off when I came out here, and like I said yesterday, I was coming out here to try to play a good round of golf, and today I'm really proud of how I fought, especially after the tough start. I bogeyed the first, I missed a short birdie putt there on the second, and it took me a little while to get going, but had a nice back nine to kind of make the week at least a little bit decent with the finish.
It was obviously not what I was hoping for going into the week, but overall I'm proud of how I fought this week, and excited to get home and get ready for next week.
Q. "Unshakeable" is a word I think many of us used to describe you, your first time away from your wife Meredith and your son Bennett, first time stretching in a jail cell prior to a golf round. What have you proven to yourself about your ability to persevere no matter what life throws at you?
SCOTTIE SCHEFFLER: Yeah, I think on the golf course, I've always been proud of my toughness out there. I love competing, I love trying to get the most out of my game out here, and I typically try to keep the off-course life as quiet as possible, and this week obviously was not that way, so was a bit different in that sense. I'm proud of how Teddy and I went around this week and competed and was able to post a decent finish towards the end of the week kind of running on fumes.
