Quick Quotes
Q. Here with Hannah Green after her second round at the JM Eagle LA Championship. We were just talking about this, but seems like you only make birdie on 18. What is it about this finishing hole that you really like here?
HANNAH GREEN: Yeah, I don't know what it is. I holed a really good putt yesterday. Pin was kind of in a similar location on the front left there.
But I hadn't really been holing too many putts today. Wasn't putting my best stroke on it, so I just kind of said I need to hit it as close as possible and I had a nice tap-in.
Not sure what it is about 18. Obviously very unique. We don't really finish with too many par-3s, or maybe at all on the Tour.
It's nice just having the crowd to be able to watch and also cheer me on.
Q. Had a lot on the card today, lots of birdies, some bogeys. Take us through some of the ups and downs of the day.
HANNAH GREEN: Yeah, I hit a shot into the water on the par-3s. It was not a great shot, but also not a great result. So made bogey there; had a three-putt.
Just had like a very mixed bag today. I'm kind of glad I was able to scramble with under par. Holed a really nice putt on 17 and obviously birdieing the last to get me 2-under par.
I think I am still six back. Gracie has played really solid. Just need to tidy up everything. Didn't feel like it was just one part of my game, so hopefully, yeah, just keep hitting fairways, greens, playing really boring golf.
Q. Speaking of Grace, I know she's a good friend of yours, but when does it become fun and competitive at the same time?
HANNAH GREEN: Yeah, it's hard because, yeah, obviously Gracie is so nice as well. It's kind of hard because she is so nice. I think she's kind of had a rough couple of finishes the last few events, so it's really nice to see her feeling happy and positive out there.
That's always the most important thing, is to make sure you're enjoying it, and I think that's helped her result this week. Yeah, hopefully we can be paired together on Sunday. Hopefully I can make more birdies and catch up.
Yeah, hopefully she keeps playing well and doing what she's doing because it's working.
Q. You mentioned like not everything being together, just wasn't one thing. What are some of the things that you think you need to put together for a really good round tomorrow?
HANNAH GREEN: Yeah, still hit -- well, I hit a lot of fairways and greens but didn't have a lot of opportunities to make birdie. I had a lot of downhill putts today and I wasn't able to be aggressive and wasn't really solid with the line that I chose.
So even just having a, yeah, uphill putt can make a big difference here at Wilshire. I'm hoping I can do that. Greens are getting firmer and a little bit bumpy come the afternoon.
So just staying patient and make sure when I hit the shot that I've done everything I can and I'm confident in that. That's all you can do in the afternoon.
Q. Does it give you confidence knowing going into tomorrow, moving day, that you've only ever finished in the Top 3 in the last like three years? Does that give you a sense of confidence and peace out there a little bit?
HANNAH GREEN: Yeah, it does. It was funny, on the second hole of day we were kind of in between clubs. Weren't really sure where the wind was because it was kind of swirling. My caddie said, yep, you know what you're doing; you're comfortable and don't really need my opinion, as a joke.
Yeah, obviously very comfortable, and having those results makes it feel a little bit easier out there. But then there also is a bit of pressure to try and keep performing and keep at that level.
It's really nice. I have so many people out there cheering me on, and I think that's one the reasons why I do perform well here. Hopefully they're out here this weekend watching us all and cheering me on.
Q. Coming over from Great White.
HANNAH GREEN: Yeah.
