Q. All right, here with Lottie Woad after her second round at The Chevron Championship. Moved a bit up the leaderboard there today. Just talk a little bit about how your game felt.

LOTTIE WOAD: Yeah, felt good. I was trying to make a few less bogeys than yesterday. I had a lot of birdies yesterday but I dropped a lot of shots. I was just trying to steer away from some of the pins and take those pars and really get at the par-5s.

Q. Can you just put into words this stretch of winning at Augusta National a week and a half ago now, coming to play in your first major championship and playing this well? What's going through why you head right now?

LOTTIE WOAD: Yeah, it's definitely been a whirlwind. Kind of didn't really have a chance to let Augusta sink in really. Was just coming here straightaway.

I obviously took a lot of confidence from Augusta, so just trying to use that for this week.

Q. Couple practice days and a couple tournament rounds into your first LPGA start. How are you feeling so far? How would you grade it so far?

LOTTIE WOAD: I mean, I'm feeling good. I'm playing well. I mean, I would probably grade it pretty highly. I was trying to make sure I made the weekend was kind of my aim for this week. I didn't know what position exactly, but I'm in a good position now so I am just going to keep trying to move up.

Q. Can you compare the nerves that you're feeling right now to what it felt down the stretch on Saturday?

LOTTIE WOAD: I probably felt more nerves on Saturday just because this is only round two and that was the final round. I think over the weekend there might be some more.

But I mean, I'm just going to use that experience I had playing in front of people on the big stages and try to use that.

Q. You had a big team with you in Augusta and now you have a new caddie. Anyone here that you know outside of your circle?

LOTTIE WOAD: Not really. I've met people since I've been here, but no one came, yeah.

Q. What is that like? You're doing a lot more on your own, I guess, fending for yourself. You're doing well, but what's the hardest adjustment of that part? You're used to being with a team.

LOTTIE WOAD: Yeah, it's definitely weird. I think in college everyone does everything for you so you kind of don't have to worry about how you're getting to the course and stuff like that. This week you're just out a little more, but it's been fine.

Q. You just said that your goal coming into the week was just to make the cut. When does that mindset change now that you're just three shots off the lead?

LOTTIE WOAD: Well, my goal wasn't just to make the cut. I wanted to play the weekend. I didn't have a number in mind where I wanted to finish. I was just kind of trying to stick to my plan and shoot I guess under par.

But now I'm only I think three back maybe at the moment. That might change. But just going to I guess see how close I can get and keep trying to contend.

Q. Does that change your game plan for the weekend at all?

LOTTIE WOAD: No, probably not. No.

Q. I know you talked about it being a whirlwind. Since ANWA, has there been any form of celebration for you from that event at all so far?

LOTTIE WOAD: Not really. Kind of my whole team and some of our staff came to pick me up from the airport, which was a surprise. That was probably about it. There was some cake there.

Q. Wining that tournament got you into this event. What was the process like to make the call to come out here this week and what was the timeline to make that decision?

LOTTIE WOAD: Yeah, I found out kind of on the Sunday when the Chevron was, and I think I had until Tuesday at 5:00 p.m. to say whether I was playing. I first had to check with Florida State because they're playing the ACC championship right now. I haven't even had time to check the score yet, but I hope they're doing well.

So I just checked with my coach if I could play, and then I was booking flights straightaway. I got the last seat on the flight.

Q. Do you think it's helped or hurt you that you had to make this decision so quick and this has happened so fast after your ANWA victory?

LOTTIE WOAD: I don't think it's probably made any difference. If I had had more time I still would've played and would've maybe prepared a little more.

But I was playing well at Augusta so didn't really need a kind of (sound cut out) for this I guess.

Q. Golf Channel decided to do an interview with you in the middle of competition. Wondering your thoughts on that and how you're adjusting to the media presence of a major?

LOTTIE WOAD: I did make bogey, but I had already put it in the bunker, so I probably can't blame that on them. I mean, it was fine.

I don't think it made a difference. It was like two or three questions.

Q. Have you met Nelly Korda yet, and just what are your thoughts on maybe a possibility potentially of maybe playing with her on weekend, what that might be like?

LOTTIE WOAD: That would be cool. I haven't met her yet. I'm kind of scared to go up to her, so...

Q. What impresses you most about her game?

LOTTIE WOAD: Probably just how consistent she is. To win four in a row is insane. So just to consistently be that good against the strength of field they have week in and week out is really cool.

Q. And finally, I know you were asked at the ANWA about your future plans. Would anything that happens here this week -- obviously if you win maybe -- but maybe factor into that decision of going back to school?

LOTTIE WOAD: I mean, if I win that would be a different story. Probably not. I've got the whole summer of playing in all these exemptions, so just going to use that and I guess reassess a little bit. I don't think it's going to rush stuff too much.

Q. You mentioned being a little nervous going up to Nelly and introducing yourself. How long have you been watching her and what's your favorite memory of watching Nelly?

LOTTIE WOAD: I mean, I've watched her a lot but probably more recently just the last few weeks. Just watching that level of golf, like how she got it done last week in the match play event, I was watching that.

Q. Just along those lines, any other players you've looked up to throughout your career that you've seen in the field this week?

LOTTIE WOAD: Yeah, I've met Charley and Georgia from England this week, so that was really cool for me. I grew up watching them and they've like kind of gone through the same system I'm going through. I got a picture, so pretty cool.

Q. Can you describe how you got connected with your caddie for this week? What was her reaction when you got ahold of her?

LOTTIE WOAD: I just was kind of in communication with the people that run the event and just said I need a local caddie. They gave me a number and I rang her up and was like, can you caddie for me and she was like, yeah.

Q. What would be a good finish in your mind? What would you come away wanting to achieve by the end of the weekend?

LOTTIE WOAD: Honestly have no idea. I just kind of want to continue how I'm playing, and if I can be aroundabouts the lead on Sunday, that would be pretty cool.
