Quick Quotes
Q. Were you aware that you had the solo lead there for a little second?
NICOLAI HOJGAARD: No, not really. I didn't really think about it where I was. Whatever, I was in a position where I was really good mentally, playing really good golf. Hit a couple loose shots. On 11 it's very easy to hit it right when you have to hit a cut over the water to bail out, and 12 is playing tricky.
From 13 onwards, it happened a little bit fast, and I would love to -- I made a couple pars around 13, 14, 15. Gave me a birdie almost with a tee shot on 13, but that's not the situation right now.
Q. When things start moving quickly in situations like that, is it hard to slow yourself down?
NICOLAI HOJGAARD: If I knew the formula, I probably would have done it out there. It's just tricky. The course is playing tricky. I was probably in a period of my game where it was a little bit tricky and a little bit -- yeah, a little bit out of position, but sometimes it's tough to turn it around.
Q. You have to excuse me for any assumptions. It looked like you grabbed that tee on 10 real quick. It looked like you were feeling yourself to make birdie there. You had to be feeling high at the moment.
NICOLAI HOJGAARD: Yeah, I felt really good. I hit some really nice shots on front nine. Even on 1 I hit two good shots and ended up making 5. That's the golf course. From 2 onwards, I hit really good shots. Played lovely through the first 10.
Tomorrow try to do the same thing and put me in a position where if you make a few birdies on the back nine, you might have a shot.
Q. How tricky were the greens with how firm they were out there on the back nine?
NICOLAI HOJGAARD: Back nine were really tricky. They felt like they were really fast, but they were standing on more slope on the front nine. It was fast and tricky, but that's how we want to play it.
Q. Not the finish you wanted obviously but you're still only a few shots back heading into tomorrow? What's the mindset like?
NICOLAI HOJGAARD: At the moment, it's all over the place. But I've got to regroup, got to go out and do my best tomorrow. There's been a lot of good stuff these days. Yeah, tomorrow go out and do my best and see where we end up.
Q. When the bogeys add up there early on the back nine, does the caddie step in? Do you try to tell yourself something?
NICOLAI HOJGAARD: We try to stop the bleeding a little bit. Sometimes it's -- if I knew how to do it, I probably would have done it. But yeah, there was a lot of good stuff anyway.
