MASTERS TOURNAMENT

April 13, 2024

Min Woo Lee

Augusta, Georgia, USA

Quick Quotes

Q. How did you feel out there today?

MIN WOO LEE: I felt okay. I didn't really get anything going, but I still enjoyed my time out at Augusta. It was nice to make the weekend. Again, didn't feel like I had -- I was just on the other side of going the good side of Augusta. Again, I guess you've got to learn from them, yeah.

Q. A couple of tough holes out there for you out there today, 2, 4, 12, and 17. Bogeyed those ones, birdie on 13. What is your mindset back nine? You've gone 2-over on the front nine. You're on the back nine. How do you try to turn that over mentally?

MIN WOO LEE: I think I've been playing -- sorry. Say that again?

Q. From your first nine to your second nine, you went 2-over in the first nine. How do you try to turn that around in the second nine?

MIN WOO LEE: It's very easy to let Augusta, I guess, overtake your mental side. You don't want to just get -- I don't know how to say the word. You don't want to let your guard down. You've just got to keep going. Hopefully you make some good swings and hole some putts.

It's a tough golf course. Yeah, the bogeys can come as easily as the birdies. We've seen a few disasters over the past few years, and that's so easy to do. I thought I didn't play that bad. You're just a couple over, and you're moving backwards.

Hopefully tomorrow I can learn from that.

Q. On tomorrow, what do you do differently? Is there anything you change going into tomorrow?

MIN WOO LEE: Yeah, there might be a few shots where you just layup and instead you go for, on 13 especially. Yeah a couple of the shots, you can -- again, you can't just overpower Augusta. It can overpower you if you do silly things.

So, yeah, a bit of both. You just try to do the best you can.

Q. Even for someone like you who's done this course many times before now, is it still daunting for you when you go out there? When you're at round 1, 2, or 3 in the Masters?

MIN WOO LEE: Yeah, I definitely felt that in the first round. I was 4-over through six, and I wanted to be in a bowl at home watching it on TV instead of playing out there.

I guess the athletes we are, we've got to overcome that, and I've been playing really good since. Looking back at it, probably could have started it better, but it is what it is.

Q. That's the way Augusta goes, I suppose?

MIN WOO LEE: Exactly.

Q. Has the finger been causing you any concerns the last couple of days?

MIN WOO LEE: The finger is good actually. There's been a couple of shots where I have to manufacture a shot, and it does kind of bother for a few seconds. It's honestly been really good. So happy days.

Q. From the patriotic side of things, you look at the leaderboard here at Augusta and you've got Cameron Davis sitting in the mix. That's pretty good. There's obviously six of you guys out here for the tournament. You've been pretty close all week. It's good to see one of you out there even if it's not yourself.

MIN WOO LEE: Yeah, it's awesome. Hopefully one of the Cams end up with the trophy, but it's going to be a battle out there. The back nine is pretty tough.

I think the wind, I don't know if it's going to blow a little bit, but it has been swirly over at Amen Corner, and it is tough. Hopefully a few of the boys can make birdies.
