Augusta, Georgia, USA
Quick Quotes
Q. Great finish there. Making the cut here projected right now. Your thoughts on this round and these first two days out here at Augusta?
LUCAS GLOVER: Very difficult, as the scores show. It looks like 5-over is going to be the cut, maybe 6. So very difficult. To be even-par after two days, pretty happy.
Q. What did you find confidence in while you were out there? You started out with a couple of birdies. How did that help you kind of build on the day?
LUCAS GLOVER: I actually started with a couple bogeys and then made some birdies.
It was one of those days, you knew it was going to be difficult for everybody. Just going to hit some good shots that turn out bad and some bad ones that turn out good, and that's kind of what happened. So just tough out there.
Q. To advance -- to make the cut six times of your ten trips here, you know both sides of that coin. How much do you take a second today and recognize this moment and the accomplishments, especially knowing how tough it is?
LUCAS GLOVER: No, it's great. Any time you play the weekend here, it's special. Yeah, this is the most difficult conditions, most difficult two days I've experienced here.
Very pleased. Hopefully nobody gets hit by a limb.
Q. That has to be saying something. Toughest day that you've played here?
LUCAS GLOVER: For sure, no question.
Q. With that said, to be even-par through two rounds, do you feel like you're in as good a spot as you've been in your ten times? You're inside the top 20, and the leaders are only 6-under.
LUCAS GLOVER: Still going to be six, seven back, but you've got to play Saturday to be there Sunday, so start there.
Q. Tell me about No. 2, kind of get that birdie to fall. Amazing second shot, but to get that birdie to fall and get that confidence.
LUCAS GLOVER: Yeah, it was good. Yeah, just there and followed it up with a couple bogeys and 3 and 4 were playing pretty brutal. The one that kind of got things going was 5. That was still one of the toughest holes on the course all week.
So to get a birdie there to get it back to even on a day like this, pretty exciting for me actually to make a birdie there instead of fighting for a par.
Q. Is there anything you want to improve on tomorrow?
LUCAS GLOVER: Yeah, I don't know. It played pretty nice. It's just difficult.
You can always make more putts. You can always pitch your wedges closer. But reflect on this, and you just take away how much of a fight it was and to survive it is an accomplishment.
Q. What's it like to go home from a day like -- or go back from a day like this and decompress from this? What's it look like for you?
LUCAS GLOVER: I will get seated as quickly as humanly possible and just sit there, hang out with my kids.
