Q. Cam, you took a couple punches out there, but you should be pretty happy where you're sitting at the moment given the conditions and everything?

CAMERON DAVIS: Yeah, it's a good test out there right now. I feel like pars are good scores. There are a few opportunities, if you do hit some good tee shots and good approaches into some of the slopes, that can help you out.

Yeah, I had a couple of stumbles, but you're right, I felt like I battled well and made some nice putts to keep the momentum.

Q. What's your hunch where the lead might be at the end of the day?

CAMERON DAVIS: No idea. If it keeps on getting stronger wind, it will be one thing. If they get some calmer sort of periods of time, there's some birdies out there still.

I'm really not too sure, but I feel like 3-under in the conditions I played in, I feel pretty proud of.

Q. Even-par 72, pretty nice today. Can you assess those conditions you saw out there on the course?

CAMERON DAVIS: Very similar to yesterday. It's a different direction for the wind, so the holes play completely differently. Completely different plan for each hole when it's like that.

Definitely teeing off early today, the temperature being a lot colder, it was some different clubs even in some similar conditions. It was same but colder, which probably makes it a little bit more difficult. By the time it's warmed up, it feels very similar to yesterday.

Q. The wind isn't supposed to let up the rest of the day. In fact, the gusts might be even breezier as we continue. Nice to be able to sit back and watch these guys deal with it?

CAMERON DAVIS: I feel like I put in my hard work. I'm happy to put my feet up this afternoon.

Q. (No microphone)? Do you want to see the wind?

CAMERON DAVIS: I mean, yes and no. If you can control your golf ball and there's no wind, it's just even more certainty you know where your ball is going to go. But it's the same for everyone out there.

Right now it's really unpredictable, so even if you do have good control of your golf ball, if your wind read was wrong, right now you're missing the green.

Right now it's flukey. If the wind dies down a little bit, I feel like everyone has a little more control, which we all appreciate. We also know, if you're able to grind out a good score in conditions like that, it's good work.

Q. Who have you got in your entourage?

CAMERON DAVIS: Family-wise? I've got my parents, my wife, my brother, aunts, uncles. I've brought plenty over this week.

Q. Are they aware you have the clubhouse lead at the moment?

CAMERON DAVIS: Probably. They're probably paying more attention to it than I am.

Q. What was the test like today versus yesterday? Was it difficult to drive?

CAMERON DAVIS: The tees are slightly further forward today although the wind was a slightly different direction. Honestly, I played -- it was a club less. The wind was gusting, and then when I was hitting, it wasn't up as strong, so I had to take a different club.

Honestly the one that's giving everyone the shakes is probably 11 at the moment. It's into off the right. It's probably the hardest wind to try to fit that ball into that back section. There's a lot of shots out there right now where, with the wind direction as it is, probably playing as difficult as they can.

Q. What do you think an 18 handicapper would shoot around here today?

CAMERON DAVIS: I'm not getting involved in that. It's hard out there. We're finding it very difficult to shoot even-par.

CAMERON DAVIS: 18 handicap, everyone's shaking their head, probably not.

The thing about this place is there is a lot of room. The greens, they're big, and they're slopey. It's all a matter of being in position. If you have a way of getting in the right distances off the tees, into the greens, you can still shoot good scores out here.

But the way it is right now, probably be a tough ask.

Q. Come here with 16, you'd be okay.

CAMERON DAVIS: On a good day, the difference between shooting 90 and 110 is very small out here. On a good day, you could do it.
